Public Meetings for CDBG Funding Recommendations

The Citizens Advisory Committee have commenced meetings regarding the 2011 federal funds the City of Lakewood receives from HUD.

The first public hearing took place on Thursday August 5 and the final public hearing will take place on Thursday September 16 at 7:30 pm.

Members of the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) of Lakewood are appointed by the Mayor and Lakewood City Council to review requests for funding from the City’s CDBG, ESG, and HOME Program allocations. The CAC will hear Fiscal Year 2011 Applicant Presentations on the following dates:

• Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at 6:30 PM – Lakewood City Hall, Auditorium,
• Thursday, August 19, 2010, at 7:30 PM – Lakewood City Hall, Auditorium,
• Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at 6:30 PM – Lakewood City Hall, Auditorium,
• Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at 6:30 PM – Lakewood City Hall, Auditorium.

This year there were 23 CDBG and 5 ESG applications. All applications are available for review on the city's website at:

Recommendations for funding will be submitted by the CAC to Lakewood City Council for the October 4th meeting.
