Starting tomorrow, Tuesday August 31st, the City of Lakewood will be resurfacing Warren Road from Detroit Avenue north to Lakewood Heights Boulevard.
The existing deteriorated asphalt pavement surface will be removed by a milling process to a depth of approximately three (3) inches. The asphalt cuttings will be collected for recycling. The resulting surface will be drivable, but rough. Then an intermediate layer of asphalt will be applied, followed by a final layer of asphalt, restoring the original pavement surface.
The construction is expected to last 45 Calendar Days. Access to driveways will be maintained, but some inconveniences will occur: rough roads and pavement, on-street parking bans, travel delays, dust and noise. Thank you for your patience while we work to improve the city streets.
Also, refuse will be collected earlier on Warren Road during the construction period, so please make sure that refuse is set to the curb before 6:30am on your collection day.
The contractor will control the project and be responsible for the street during all activities, and will maintain responsibility for all aspects of scheduling, safety, traffic control and security.
